The countdown is on and Christmas is only 5 days away! Do you have all your shopping done? I still have a few things to snag last minute, but I have to say I think I’m ready. I tend to wait till the last minute sometimes because the sales keep getting better.

This year has been a little different for us because we are still living in a hotel. We don’t have a Christmas tree up which seems a little strange, but I’m excited to head back to Omaha to celebrate with our families.

Now on to today’s look…

A cropped cardigan and skinny jeans are a sure fire way to rock a laid-back look over the holidays. Whether you are spending time with family or going to meet up with some friends this outfit can keep you feeling cozy while still looking extra cute.

I personally love the subtle pops of red and green thread in this cardigan. It says holiday without overdoing it. Plus, it’s currently on sale for $15, can you say no brainer. You will definitely get some great wear out of it during the rest of the winter. This cardigan would also be perfect for spring. Pair it with dresses or jean shorts! You gotta love a piece that can work in any season!

I know a lot of people tend to run from the cropped trend, but you can easily wear a cropped cardigan without feeling exposed. Just pair it with your favorite high waisted jeans or pants. The trick is to have your top underneath cropped or tucked in. This way the cardigan stands out and your waist gets highlighted in the best way!
