You can’t go wrong with stripes and sailboats. Sprinkle some denim in and you have timeless look. I paired mine with lace up sandals and a leather jacket to give it a bit more edge. This is a great quick outfit idea for running around on a Saturday or a Sunday brunch. It gives you that balance of put together without looking like you tried.

On another note, denim is a staple of my wardrobe that I absolutely love. I have been getting a lot of use out of mine in this mild Bay Area weather. You can dress it up or down and these Levis are some of my new favorites. I have been cruising the internet for a vintage pair for quite some time. I ended up finding mine at a Goodwill in the men’s section. I always love a good treasure hunt, especially when it involves clothes. I finally took the plunge and bought a good pair of flare jeans. I absolutely fell in love with these from Paige Denim. I’m a little behind on this trend, but it is probably because I swore I would never like another pair enough to purchase. That was my younger self-talking of course. My tune has definitely changed. This pair is high waisted with a dark wash making them so flattering and hug in all the right places. The best part about them is being a shortie at 5’3″ I usually need my pants altered and these are the perfect length with a heel. They make your legs look longer and who doesn’t love that.

To add to this spring vibe, I styled mine with a white crocheted top, nude snakeskin heels and a green leather bucket bag. I gave my girly look a little edge by adding a suede choker. I always love mixing feminine pieces with more edgy jewelry. Are you loving the flare jeans trend as well?

I fell in love with these from Madewell. The zippered front and tapered legs had me snapping a selfie in the dressing room to my besties.
