For all you festival lovers out there, here is an easy DIY chocker necklace to up your jewelry game. It is a simply statement piece that you can layer or wear alone. If you are wondering if you can rock this trend yourself, this a great way to ease into it. Plus it is super cheap to recreate yourself. Everyone’s measurements are a little different and this way you can make it the perfect length for you!
DIY choker materials you will need:
- suede-leather cording
- statement beads: Multi Small Cones
- crimp covers
- wire clamps
- tape measure
- scissors
- Measure out how long you want your necklace to be and cut your cording. I made mine 56 inches long so that I could wrap it more than once around my neck.
- String through your statement beads on either end of your cording. Pull enough cording through each end to give yourself some room for the crimp covers.
- Add crimp covers to the ends and clamp with wire clamps. This will hold your statement beads into place.
You are all finished! Try it on!
Here is an up close picture of how my chocker turned out. I drew some inspiration from Free People when making this necklace. I can’t wait to make more with the other colors of cording I have. Where will you wear your choker? Stay tuned for how I style mine!
